With established credentials as an experienced operational and strategic leader in the automotive, trucking and agricultural machinery industries, my recent consulting work has focussed on systems and process transformation, leveraging best practice CX approaches to shape the direction of those new business builds. I hold proudly to the approach that was imprinted upon me through a country upbringing, namely that the responsibility for a successful outcome often rests with you alone, often without the tools and resources you would like, but that a considered plan and some self-belief will get the job done. Many large organisations struggle with this level of independence - I wear it as a badge of honour. Success in early operational roles was aided by my very straightforward manner, but management experience, not least of a young family, has developed a balanced approach that allows me to recognise the nuances that define successful leadership, relationship development, mentoring and strategic positioning. Today I possess the statesmanship required to get me to the table, the confidence and experience to know I can build something better, and the fortitude to withstand the doubts of a conservative establishment.
