I have vast experience across the private and public sector, originally cutting my teeth in the world of manufacturing, before moving into economic development. I have led change management projects, welfare to work programmes and international inward investment campaigns in Europe and the Far East. My experience gives a solid foundation to identify the drivers, and understand the needs of businesses, people, and place to help them grow and prosper.I am a member of the Institute of Place Management, the international professional body that supports people committed to developing, managing, and making places better. Outside of work, I am a keen a runner, competing in marathons along with setting-up an award-winning running club for beginners. I support Derby County and Derbyshire County Cricket Club, and enjoy arts and culture.
