The SEDI was announced in the Federal Budget 2023-2024. The SEDI has been designed to provide capability building support to the social enterprise sector in different ways - from supporting individual social enterprises through grants, right through to support for a sector owned online space for all those in the space to learn and exchange.Impact Investment Australia (IIA) has been chosen by the Department of Social Services to administer grants under the SEDI. As the Grant Administrators, IIA provides capability building grants to social enterprises. Each grant to a social enterprise will be up to $120,000 which can be used to buy capability building support. There is a focus on First Nations social enterprises and applications for the grant are strongly encouraged from this group.Applications are open for social enterprises to apply for the SEDI Capability Building Grant of up to $120,000 through several grant rounds until June 2026. Global climate adaptation costs and corresponding investments in resilience measures are expected to rise from approx $0.2 trillion per year in 2020's to approx $0.6 trillion in 2030's. Resilience can only be achieved through effective allocation of capital, coordination between public and private sectors and good operational decisions - all requiring good information, based on sound data. Resilience Constellation invests in and develops data and information products to inform decision making by governments, financial institutions, businesses and civil society.

Chair of the Impact Investment Ready Growth Grant Selection Panel created by the Federal Govt. The grant worked to equip social enterprises with support to create tangible social and environmental outcomes. In this role, I helped a wide variety of social enterprises grow and attract growth capital. This was a voluntary position.
