I have worked in zoological collections since 1995. Growing up on a farm gave me an early interest in wildlife and I have been passionate about species and habitat conservation and sustainability for many years. I was a founding trustee and treasure of the Predator Conservation Trust, which was registered UK charity supporting in situ carnivore conservation projects. While working in the zoo community I have designed animal enclosures with a focus on high animal welfare standards. I am the chair for the EAZA Canid and Hyaenid Taxon Advisory Group.I work for a UK based charity called Wild Welfare as Operations Manager. Wild Welfare works with zoos and aquariums which need help to improve animal welfare standards and developing policies and procedures.
