Entire ledger circa £5m (600+ accounts).• Conduct weekly reviews of each sales ledger with each Credit Controller (2 Perm. + 2 Temp) and report any contentious issues to the credit manager.• Responsible for the maintenance and updating of the sales ledger, including journals.• Open up new accounts and ensure that all names entered in the company’s IT systems are legally correct. • Extensively liaise with all staff (in particular the sales floor) in ensuring that all queries are turned round quickly.• Ensure that all cash is posted accurately and in a timely manner. A banking rota was established for the team to adhere to, which was both flexible and fair.• Commence paperwork (N1 form) for any potential legal recoveries.• Deputised in the manager’s absence, including the collation of the monthly reports.Achievements• The creation of a “bible” detailing each client’s invoicing requirements.
