Working for Komatsu Mining Corp, a large multi-national manufacturing company with 10,000+ staff worldwide, responsible for all IT issues on site at Sunderland and providing support globally.Local Work- Support 30+ desktops, 50+ workstations, 70+ laptops, 10+ kiosk devices, 50+ mobile devices and other kit such as projectors and printers.- Complete user life cycle support - from creating the user in AD and giving permissions, imaging IT equipment, deploying equipment to office location, providing IT induction and relevant training, updating and installing additional software, to carrying out termination requests.- Provide remote support via Microsoft Teams or Bomgar for service engineers/sales staff and home workers.- Liaise between vendors, maintenance and other IT teams (network/security/etc.) to assist the installation of factory machinery and other equipment.- Log and troubleshoot incidents in the Remedy helpdesk system - if unable to resolve, escalate to the relevant IT team.UK/Eurasia Work- As part of the UK team, provide support to other UK sites and Eurasian offices in India/Russia/Poland/France.- Share responsibility for hosting the weekly UK/EU/ZA Client Services call.Global Work- Administer the Change Control System - host and moderate the weekly Global Change Advisory Board meeting, review new change orders, complete post implementation reviews and create weekly reports.- Administer the Global Controls Library - review and approve documents that are the standards/procedures/guidelines for the global IT team.Recent (last 24 months) projects contributed to:- Global OneDrive Deployment- Sunderland LAN refresh of equipment- Opening of Unit 7 (new office for sales and proposals)Final project:- Business Divestiture – Acting as the onsite expert as SE-TEK (manufacturing management buyout) and Fairport Tunneling Technologies (engineering and projects sale) split from Komatsu in an organized manner.

- Solving IT issues for local and remote users- Administering the Weekly Management Report on SharePoint- Photographing company products- Editing photographs for company marketing material

- Produce and QA check cartridges using 5 tonne press- Work as part of a team on the Roller Production and Paint Lines
