Operations Responsibilities• Duty manager once weekly, opening the factory ensuring everything is ready for production• Managing 3 staff with the aim of increasing productivity to maximise profit from what were previously waste products, motivating through means other than remuneration• Creating a hygiene monitoring routine & method of recording the data for the grounds-man which allows no breaches in required levels of hygiene• Pre production sampling; set up to keep tabs on factory management & their responsibilities on a daily basis, to maintain BRC standards• Setting up and maintaining a sampling of box stickers to ensure traceability & provenance of the product• Quality control of products produced making certain that what is claimed to have been produced is what has actually been produced• Monitoring of waste collections, to certify exact quantities of waste and make sure waste products are disposed of correctly and at the cheapest cost• Recording all data related to delivery vehicles with the aim of optimising the routes and reducing the apportioned costs per delivery• Document pallet returns from customers, raise numbers of returns to help save money.• Carry out risk assessments in all areas of the business to ensure correct health and safety processes are in place• Inducting new staff to the companyPurchasing Responsibilities• Ordering beef to allow continuous production from numerous suppliers (British & European)• Following up orders with suppliers, arranging delivery times into the factory to minimise down time• Grading the meat purchases; suppliers send inadequate products, it is important not to let these slip into the production process as it can skew profit reports & in turn cause poor sales results & furthermore unhappy customers• Maintain purchase records and process costings for each batch of production• Seek out new suppliers as well as maintaining relationships with suppliers without becoming too reliant on any single supplier

• Producing monthly management accounts, preparing accruals and prepayments, intercompany reconciliations, Group recharges• Monthly forecast preparation ready for director meetings• Creating a 12 month plan using trends and linking figures throughout the Group• Site visits to audit processes already in place and develop new ones where needed• Continued bank reconciliation; closing working day two, one day ahead of target.• Continued credit control for the Group.• Bringing two other accounting environments PL and SL into line with Group • Helped with the initial setting up of BACS payments to suppliers, collecting and processing details onto our system. Once the first batches of letters were sent I was then left to oversee the maintenance of the database and to continue collecting the relevant information.
