Product System Roll-Out: To support growth plans, the Institutional Bank initiated a project to roll out its strategic institutional lending platform (Loan IQ) to another business division, necessitating a migration of loan assets. As well as the product system configuration, new interfaces to downstream systems and enhancements to existing interfaces were required. I led capture and documentation of business and functional requirements as well as key components of SIT and UAT, across 20+ teams. I chaired regular project working groups with business and technology stakeholders and drove completion of regulatory approval processes. I supported migration planning, testing and execution.Non-Accrual Loan Controls: WIB undertook a series of process and control improvements to enhance front-to-back control. I led a business implementation to support automation of accrual treatment between product and limit management systems.

Following its appointment as Custodian for a recently acquired fund management business, a global securities services leader undertook a complex Fund Administration and Custody transition. I led an Accenture team of three to support the migration planning and execution and was responsible for Accenture statements of work, financials, team performance management and meeting all engagement deliverables.I co-authored a viewpoint on the implications to Australia’s OTC derivatives markets from the introduction of mandatory central clearing. I regularly conducted graduate interviews and supported Accenture responses to “Requests for Proposal” and other sales material.

Strategic Risk Program: A global investment bank was reviewing the way it manages financial risk, from the Group CRO / Board level, through to desk / trader level, to the control functions. I supported definition of a target services model for Market Risk Management as input to strategic design, and completion of a current state assessment of Front Office risk management capabilities.Strategic Derivatives Infrastructure Initiative: Against the backdrop of an unexpected write-down relating to a control issue in its derivatives business, a global investment bank completed a large-scale transformation program aimed at improving front-to-back control. I led an Accenture engagement to source valuation/P&L data from Front Office systems into Finance; supported recovery of the project from “Red” status to one with confirmed scope and committed plan for delivery of Front Office data to Product Control. I was responsible for Accenture statements of work, financials, team performance management and meeting all engagement deliverables.

Interest Rate Derivative trade migration: A global bank was consolidating its interest rate derivative trading onto a single, global hub. I provided project and test management support for an interest rate derivative migration from a local Summit instance to a central hub. The project covered all front-to-back feeds from the trade capture system.MiFID Compliance for OTC Equity Derivatives: The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), a European Union law aimed at increasing competition and consumer protection in investment services, came into force 1 November, 2007. I managed MiFID Transaction Reporting UAT, and provided training to users in new/revised business processes.
