About Simon Murray

Leading confidently in an increasingly digitally driven economy is now essential to all organisations, whether they be large or small, for-profit or not-for-profit and across industries. As a specialist in leading complex digital and technology transformation, my focus is on achieving business outcomes through technology enablement. My approach to digital and technology transformation:➡️ I start by shining a light on a poorly defined problem and building organisational clarity on the solution.➡️ I seek to understand (no judgement), build a fact base, document it and socialise and iterate until it’s right.➡️ I develop and evaluate alternative solutions and make trade-offs transparent. Then I work with executive sponsors to mobilise, organise and recruit scarce resources to deliver the solution, decomposing the work into “big rocks” and identifying dependencies.➡️ I develop and evaluate alternative delivery models, seek frontline resourcing commitment and prioritise resource on-boarding.➡️ I execute relentlessly to deliver the outcome, celebrating success along the way to motivate people, build momentum and demonstrate it can be done. It helps to keep reminding the organisation why it matters, and why they should stay the course.➡️ I build an operating rhythm and fixed cadences, with transparent tracking of progress. My background:For almost 20 years I have worked in or for some of the biggest local and global banks and consulting firms. At CBA I work in a Technology team responsible for the CommBank app, independently rated Australia’s #1 mobile banking app.And what I am really passionate about is collaborating with others to drive digital and technology transformation. If you have a problem to solve, and are perhaps unsure where to start or wondering who can help, feel free to contact me. I’m happy to discuss.

Product System Roll-Out: To support growth plans, the Institutional Bank initiated a project to roll out its strategic institutional lending platform (Loan IQ) to another business division, necessitating a migration of loan assets.
