Simon’s has been active in the syndicated loan environment for over 20 years. He has unrivalled market experience, with exposure to a numerous different market sectors in both the EMEA and Asia regions - having worked in London / Paris and Singapore / Hong Kong. For the last 17 years he has focused almost exclusively on the Project and Asset finance sectors.Simon joined MUFG in February 2011 and is Head of its structured loan syndication activities, with primary coverage responsibility for the EMEA region. Prior to joining MUFG he held similar positions at The Royal Bank of Scotland and BNP Paribas, where he headed market leading syndication teams working on numerous debt advisory, underwriting / sell down mandates as well as the co-ordination of club based transactions in the project finance sector.He has extensive experience in the successful closing of complex multi tranche financing structures incorporating, Bank, Export Credit Agency and Multilateral debt – most notable as part of the MUFG sole debt arranger mandate for the Nghi Son Refinery & PetChem Project in Vietnam co-ordinating the successful syndication of a USD 5.0bn debt financing.Simon has also worked on numerous Financial Advisory mandates across the EMEA region covering the Power, O&G and Infrastructure sectors.
