Currently role involves picking orders using a scanner and dispatching box's or pallets. Picked items range from ambient stock to cold stored and controlled drugs.I use 3 forklift trucks a counterbalance to move stock from one warehouse to another a reach truck or bendi to put pallets in the racking and lower them to replenish stock as well as loading and unloading vehicles.As part of my role I do daily and monthly stock checks, run replenishment reports for stock we need for the following days picking and allocated stock for future picks. Alongside my main role I help out with receiving stock from suppliers, checking goods are correct and in good condition.I help out with destruction where I have to liaise with other departments and the waste company to send damage and short dated stock for destruction.

I've had many roles in my time at Boots.When I first started in 2004 I worked as an order picker where speed and accuracy were key as you had targets to hit.In 2005 I moved roles to an order checker where I would need a keen eye for detail as I would be checking employee's accuracy by making sure orders were picked correctly, whilst in this role I helped my manager doing rota's for other members of our team and some data entry were i would put all our information gathered into a spead sheet.Around 2006 I was 1 of many staff who volunteered to moved to a temporary warehouse whilst redevelopment was happening originally I kept the same role but after a few months I was asked to join the receiving team. Roles in receiving initially include tipping lorrys with power truck and checking of goods received to make sure everything was correct. I then applied for a role as cover supervisor for receiving, where I covered my supervisor's day's off and holiday's. In 2007 I was made supervisor of reiceving for the remainder of the time at the temporary site. Duties included staff holidays, daily progress meetings, going through scratch reports and finding stock to refill picking locations, booking stock onto the system for picking and ordering trailers to tip using yard smart system. In 2008 I moved back to our main site after redevelopments had completed where I went back into a reiceving role unloading delivery's checking in stock using an rf gun and some forklift driving.In 2010 I moved to a role as a jambuster within the automated system, roles included fault finding and fixing or leaising with the engineers either face to face or over a radio, faults were at ground level and some at height. In 2015 I moved back to reiceving and this is my current role.
