I'm currently working in the Consumer and Community Banking line of business on the Connected Commerce Quality Engineering team. Our goal is to reduce production issues by recommending best practices for continuous deployment. As part of quality engineering, there are two parts to my role:The first is helping other teams improve their testing strategies. This includes giving recommendations on which testing tools work best for their use case, determining which downstream dependencies should be virtualized and when they should be virtualized during the continuous deployment testing stages, and providing debugging support for when problems arise. In order to help other teams, I have to be well versed in numerous different types of applications, deployments, and testing frameworks. Thus, the second component of my role is learning by building sample applications that strengthen my understand of these concepts. I primarily use Java and Java Spring Boot to build backend functionalities as well as cloud and deployment technologies such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, and AWS. I have experience in unit, contract, component, acceptance, post validation, and end to end testing strategies using cucumber, karate, pact flow, and more.

I worked for UM Rec Sports as an ACE certified personal trainer. I helped clients adopt a healthy lifestyle by providing instructions on how to perform exercises efficiently and effectively. I created exercise programs for clients to follow and met with them on a weekly basis in one-on-one sessions.

During this internship, I was a member of the the Personalization and Insights team. For my intern project, I created a metrics dashboard that pulled performance statistics from multiple API's across Chase's internal network to display on a Tableau dashboard. This dashboard now serves as a tool for managers to check the performance of tech teams in the connected commerce space. I used Java Spring Boot, Terraform, Jenkins, Tableau, SQL, Python, and various AWS tools such as writing lambda functions, creating redshift database tables, and writing to S3 buckets.

This past summer I worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Ford Motor Company. I was a member of the Electric Connectivity Team working on the manual system controls for SYNC module systems. I used CAN architecture software such as VnModSim, CAN Vector db++, and Diagnostics Engineering Tool to operate a full test bench from a Ford F-150 pickup truck. This software and test bench allowed me to model different vehicle behavior. In addition, I created weekly summaries for our offshore Vietnam team on progress on various projects. These projects were fun and challenging to work on and also broadened my skillset as a software engineer.
