London & Continental Railways (LCR) was formed to construct and operate the UK's High Speed 1 railway from a refurbished St Pancras station, run the UK arm of the Eurostar international rail service, and redevelop key areas of central London. In late-2010 LCR sold a 30-year concession to run HS1 for £2.1 billion, and restructured its Eurostar holding. LCR is now focusing on its real estate portfolio. I left LCR in April'11.I was initially seconded from consortium member National Express Group plc to help establish LCR as a operating entity. I was formerly Group financial controller.

Established internal audit function. Involved in two successful bids for train operating company (TOC) franchises from HMG.
