I also: supported the establishment of a Public Private Partnership (PPP) for Inland Rail and oversaw its implementation and operation; facilitated the development of complementary infrastructure, including intermodal terminals in Brisbane and Melbourne, and a dedicated freight line from the Port of Brisbane, to Inland Rail. Further, I worked closely across the Commonwealth, as well as with my State Government colleagues, to negotiate the bilateral agreements between the Commonwealth and New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland that enables Inland Rail to be constructed in those states, and I also established the National Faster Rail Agency.
