My main area of teaching is multimedia and technology and I am currently teaching and developing material on a variety of courses including a Social Media Apprenticeship and Creative Digital Media Production program.This role has allowed me to develop in a number of different ways both professional and personally, with both freedom and constraints presenting different challenges on a day to day basses in the workplace. Meeting the challenges in relation to being the lead internal verifier for the NQF program for the Information and Creative Technologies programs last year was gratifying. I undertook training / development on the new program from the exam board which I then had to disseminate to my colleagues. Jointly planning a robust internal verifying process with a colleague which has been sent out by our quality department as a good example of the new framework across the college, which is a crucial part of validating learning. I have welcomed and met the challenge of balancing a wide variety of courses on a number of different levels across an array of departments within the college head-on. Developing and updating my own practice whilst meeting deadlines and continuously acting with professionalism to both internal and external clients. With a consistent good grade in teaching and learning with positive feedback from learners across all levels, I was pleased with my last graded observation to have included some outstanding features.
