I am a passionate, confident and hard working aspiring sports journalist and experienced presenter. Over summer 2024, I presented The Hundred at Emirates Old Trafford with Progress Productions and the ECB. In lockdown, aged 16, I started a cricket twitter page called TheCricketMen. Since then, I have built a platform to talk about cricket particularly aimed at younger people. I brought other contributors on board to develop an identity and since then we have gained over 8500 followers on Twitter, with 1000 on TikTok and plans to expand to Instagram and YouTube over the coming year. It has provided opportunities which I never thought possible including interviewing my Lancashire Cricket heroes like Dane Vilas and Richard Gleeson.I also have experience in the hospitality industry, working at various jobs both in my home town and in York. Currently, I work at David Lloyd Part Time alongside my degree where I have developed my teamwork and communication skills. At university, I am studying for a history degree at undergraduate level in second year, currently tracking for a 2:1.I was also privileged in my final year to be assistant head of sport at the student radio station alsongside being deputy editor of sport at the student paper.
