"This project plans to compare the cities of Hanoi & Saigon to specifically research typographical communication devices that are currently evident. This research seeks to discover how we can begin to decipher what is culturally exciting and appropriate typographical design within a Vietnamese environment? The researchers will explore (urban) typography to better understand what it can tell us about society in Vietnam; its cultural practices; and differences when comparing regional contexts (Hanoi, Hcmc). In a country currently undergoing massive environmental; change, this project aims to try and identify Vietnamese typographic style and heritage before it is lost forever.

Lecturing Final Major ProjectTopic: SustainabilityStudents work over 4-5 months on researching and identifying companies who exist in China, that distribute, produce or are currently promoting Sustainable/Eco friendly products or services.They then select through their research the preferred method of design, by promotion (event), re-branding, re-packing etc...Exhibition of works are then externally judged by industry designers.Apart from academic duties, other duties include:- preparing classes and assessing work and delivery of lessons, - in charge of the many competitions that are implemented into the curriculum, - as well as industry awards, where we have achieved great success, locally The Crobars,Young Guns and internationally D&AD.

Working on MPH magazines, from Female and Nu You, in the creative services area, starting to work on the new MENS sections, WEDDING sections and promotions/advertorials

SoDa came about by a natural progression of living with a photographer Paul Barbera. We worked with clients that would need design work from his photography, it grew from new fashion design clients, fashion shows, too furniture designers brouchures and amid that there also was alot of editorial work and advertising.

From initial briefing to end print, taking the clients product etc. executing it in the best possible way in their chosen magazine. (mainly advertorials, work alot on the VRC campaigns which were spread throughout acp magazines) Worked on a mixture of acp publications CLEO, Harpers Bazaar, Womans Weekly Ralph NW .
