Simon is the Trust's Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Within his portfolio, Simon is responsible for our 25 primary academies (including 1 outstanding special school) as Director of Education - Primary; and is the Trust wide accountable Director for safeguarding, DRET’s Teaching School Hub (TSH) and the Trust’s enrichment programmes of music and sport. Simon has more than two decades of school and executive leadership experience at director and headteacher level, with an MA (distinction) in educational leadership and management from the University of Nottingham. Before joining DRET in 2016, Simon was a Headteacher for ten years, and worked at Assistant Director level for Buckinghamshire County Council during 2015. Simon's priority is leading a positive culture where leaders, teachers and support staff at all levels drive improvement for the benefit of all children in our Trust.
