I was responsible for managing the accreditation of higher education programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as other professional bodies and further education providers. This involved detailed syllabus reviews and mapping of these programmes against CIMA's certificate level and professional level to provide a faster track to CIMA membership.Often the work I did resulted in collaborative partnerships which were tailored according to the market. In the 5+ years I held this role, I also helped design and implement a new approach to accrediting undergraduate accounting degrees in 2015, which resulted in an increase in the number of programmes across the business spectrum from around 180 a year when I joined the team to over 1000 a year by the time I left the team. Individually I accredited in the region of 2200 programmes in the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia and helped nearly 15000 students gain an accelerated route to membership with 500 of those achieving Chartered status.• Managed the team when my manager was on extended leave;• Collaborated with Country Managers to help them develop acquisition strategies based on accreditation and personal knowledge of the local education system;• Managed and maintained a robust approach to CIMA’s accreditation of Higher Education programmes;• Promoted effective partnerships with Higher Education Institutes globally;• Reviewed partnership agreements from an accreditation/exemptions perspective prior to signing;• Delivered one of the opening addresses at the African Accounting & Finance Association (AAFA), promoting CIMA’s R&D function and achievements;• Promoted CIMA at accounting conferences in the UK, Europe, Africa and SE Asia;• Trained and mentored new members of the team including taking direct responsibility for a new Specialist role in the team from 2016 onwards;• Chaired syllabus development meetings with employers in Sri Lanka and Dubai.

• Achieved a turnaround time of 1 day for processing student applications against an SLA of 20 working days during peak period by adapting our processes;• Managed a team of 3-4 Advisors (permanent and temporary);• Assessed individual student registrations;• Advised students on registration process and their exemptions potential;• Ran daily reports and collated team figures for management reporting;• Organising the team’s workload in order to meet targets;• Trained and mentored new team members, Contact Centre and other forward facing staff;• Tested the CRM database to ensure reliability and integrity before, during and after new software patch installations;• Represented CIMA at careers fairs and advised students of the CIMA syllabus and exemptions process;• Worked with Higher Education Partnership Managers and R&D.• Won employee of the quarter for going above and beyond in 2010 – nominated by colleagues in South Africa for helping them get in touch with a lapsed member to encourage him to re-register.

• Organised and managed the delivery of a range of educational training courses, conferences and programmes for Forensic Mental Health staff;• Worked on own initiative with a minimum of guidance reporting to Dr David Reiss, Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist in West London Forensic Services and honorary clinical senior lecturer at Imperial College London.
