Chief Technical Officer
Midlands Connect is the Sub-National Transport Body (STB) for the whole Midlands region - from the Welsh border to the Lincolnshire Coast. Our primary role is to work with our Partners to build a strong evidence base around the case for investing in strategic transport infrastructure in the Midlands.I head-up our technical programme: overseeing the production of economic development strategies; road, rail and smart technology scheme development and establishing plans around funding and finance for major transport infrastructure.I work closely with colleagues in Highways England, Network Rail and the Department for Transport; as well as all Local Highway Authorities across the region. Together we are developing strategies and delivery plans to boost economic growth, build more houses and improve people's daily lives in the Midlands.
