April - June 2020: Platoon Commander under Operation Laser (COVID-19) [Task Force - Vancouver Coastal]- Acted as part of the leadership team in the force generation phase of the Canadian Armed Forces COVID response in which a Domestic Response Company (100+ soldiers) was stood up, trained and put on high-readiness in British Columbia so as to be able to assist the provincial government should it have been neccessary.- I was responsible for the entire scope of operations including overseeing all administration, planning, training and deployment for the 35 soldiers in my platoon during the stand-up and subsequent high-readiness phase of operations.- Planned and executed various training deployments of soldiers in a potentially contagion-laden environment to ensure readiness and fitness for duty of my platoon.- Maintained large array of planning documents and personnel files in order to effectively administrate the platoon and remain responsive to any changes in personnel or organizational structure.May - August 2019: Basic Military Officer Qualification - Army (BMOQ-A)This course expands upon the basic leadership and military planning skills learned previously. It also assesses student's ability to apply these skills in multiple environments and using a variety of tasks such as leading attacks and reconnaissance patrols. This course enables candidates to operate as army officers at an entry level.May 2019: Basic Military Officer Qualification (BMOQ PT2)This module focuses on teaching leadership techniques and military planning skills utilizing military planning protocols and frameworks.July - August 2018 : Basic Military Qualification (BMQ)"Basic training teaches you the core skills and knowledge to succeed in a military environment.
