With a background in venues and major events Simon worked on a number of the UK’s most prestigious sporting occasions including leadership roles at Lords Cricket Ground, Celtic Football Club and Epsom racecourse. Seeing the opportunity to support the sector with a great quality, well informed, carefully curated wine offer using sustainable packaging and reusable glassware he set up The Wondering Wine Company alongside Bibendum Wine Ltd one of the UK’s leading wine wholesalers. A pop up retial offer, clients included Live Nation, AEG, Ascot racecourse, Twickenham Stadium and a contract to represent William Grant & Sons experiential activity at the 2015 Rugby World Cup across all UK venues. He consolidated the business into Peppermint Events in 2017 where it still operates today.In 2018 Simon founded Govino (UK) LTD with exclusive rights to distribute govino a range shatterproof, reusable and recyclable drinkware in a move to offer a credible alternative to single use plastic. Based in West London the business has quickly evolved cross market and is proud to work with an ever growing customer base in support of a more sustainable future. Early adopters include Fever-tree, Sipsmith, Fortnum and Mason and The Oval cricket ground. In 2019 alongside Govino Simon joined Reel brands a world leader in sustainable packaging and design helping to bring new products to market and evolve the brand. Simon has two children and lives in West London.
