I have considerable experience in all stages of multhiethnic cohort collection, from study and method design through to sample collection and archiving. For the last four years I have been working at one of the top ten American research universities, and have been solely responsible for the sample collection component of a $2.5m research project investigating the genetic and phenotypic diversity in Africa. My PhD thesis investigated the impact of genetic variation in an inflammatory regulator on cardiovascular disease risk, and yielded four first-author research articles. I am an experienced people and project manager with strong analytical and molecular biology skills.
