My duties included the installation and maintenance of various brands of digital, analogue and VOIP telephone systems alongside WIFI infrastructure and related cabling across the country. I drove a company car and worked independently but when circumstances required I worked within or in charge of a small team depending on engineer expertise. Both of these required me to be prompt and efficient with time management. I regularly installed system equipment which included programming using keyphone or PC based programming tools. I also attended faults reported by customers where I diagnosed the problem and investigated to find a solution both remotely by phone and dial in or locally as the fault dictates. I also spent time on a service desk resolving line, broadband and telephony faults.

I started my career in the Telecommunications business as a trainee working closely alongside an experienced senior engineer. My duties included assisting the senior engineer in installations and cabling jobs.
