A new process is now underway for Pay Equity beyond 2022. • Negotiated successful outcomes for the annual ARC contracts with then DHBs, now Te Whatu Ora (total $1.6 billion to $2 billion annually). • Developed working relationships and high levels of trust with Ministers of the Crown and the Director-General of Health. • Has established the NZACA as the highly visible and respected ‘voice of aged care’ across all media. The issues of the sector are now better understood and appreciated by the public, officials, and politicians. In doing so, has developed, and maintained trusted and accessible relationships with many senior journalists across print, radio, and TV. • Critical policy wins in a range of areas not only in aged care, but also in immigration, workforce, and regulation. A chief advocate for the 2021 Resident Visa that transformed the lives of many migrant workers. • Increased NZACA membership to achieve more than 90% industry participation for a voluntary membership body, one of the highest penetration rates for a peak sector organisation in New Zealand. • Developed, grown and mentored office team to become a group of highly performing policy, data, insight, event, marketing, and administration practitioners.
