In addition to my regular job I also work as a News Correspondent. In this role I often work live from outside broadcasts for BBC1, the News Channel, BBC World TV, Radio 4 and 5Live. I also file packaged reports and interviews for national TV and Radio.

I was asked to step up as BBC Political Editor for the East Midlands in 2024. Soon after getting this temporary role the surprise early General Election was announced! With the team at East Midlands Today, Politics East Midlands, BBC Online and Radio we had a fantastic election and plenty of other political coverage during these months. I was often reporting live on location, in the studio or in Westminster. We featured the views of voters across the region. We had full programme Outside Broadcasts in different areas, which were a joy to work on. I got one to one interviews with Sir Keir Starmer, Rishi Sunak and Sir Ed Davey among many others, but never forgetting to include people on the street, in their work places or at home. Working as Political Editor and leading our coverage during this period was a big career highlight.

East Midlands

I cover everything from the most serious court cases to more light hearted issues. I present news programmes, front live OBs, self-film reports, video edit and file for radio and online. I thrive on uncovering exclusive stories and interviews. I'm part of the team that won Best News Programme at the Royal Television Society awards. On Network I've reported for the BBC News Channel, BBC1, Radio 4 and 5 Live.

Uk, Midlands

I co-presented the main programme Central Tonight for the East Midlands many times and was a regular presenter on the lunchtime and late news. I also presented news programmes for ITV Central West Midlands. As a reporter I often fronted stories from an Outside Broadcast. Again I also worked as a Programme Producer and for one of my ITV contracts I was the Deputy News Editor for ITV Central West for 6 months. My last contract was as Features Editor for ITV Central East. Despite the responsible roles, what I enjoy most is being on air in the studio or on location. Next in my career was a return to the BBC.....

Channel Islands

I decided to take up an offer from ITV and left the BBC. It was a leap of faith, but it worked. I presented the main ITV programme for the region, was the ITV Political Correspondent for the Islands and often produced the main programme. I presented an Election Night special live and followed the historic move to Ministerial Government in Jersey. It was a fantastic period in my career and I only decided to leave when an opportunity came up to join ITV Central TV.

Channel Islands And Uk

I joined BBC Radio Jersey in 1997 after spending the previous few years peforming as a singer and musician in rock bands and stage shows. At BBC Jersey I presented all shows in the local radio schedule, including being a regular on all-speech breakfast. I loved presenting phone-ins and debate programmes. I was on air with Drive when 9/11 happened. During this period I also presented Drive on BBC Guernsey and was a presenter of the BBC Spotlight TV news for the Channel Islands. I spent a year on attachment to BBC Devon as a news reader, reporter and producer.
