• To work as part of a team and supervise the operation of a high gas production/processing Top Tier COMAH site in accordance with procedures to ensure safe and effective delivery of gas to schedule. • Assist the Shift Operations Engineer, or when required, lead comprehensive Toolbox Talks and manage an effective handover between shift teams to maintain continuity of safe operations and ensure on-going knowledge of work activities• Operate high pressure gas production/processing plant & utilities equipment, utilising both on plant & control room equipment.• Act as Shift Operations Engineer to manage operational risk, fulfil duties as directed by the safe system of work & manage site activities on a day to day basis & provide operational continuity.• Responsible for the administration of the Permit to Work system & acts in the capacity as Issuing Authority ensuring compliance with the Safe Systems of Work.• Analyses plant performance data to ensure the plant is performing at optimum efficiency, producing reports & recommendations on the findings.• Develop & write NRO’s & review plant operating procedures for approval & implementation in line with company standards & statutory requirements. Participate in HAZOP studies.• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of HSE issues & ensure compliance with all company procedures & legislation.

Barrow Gas Terminal.

• Work as one of a team of production technicians to safely and efficiently operate a complex gas processing and liquid treatment plant with liquid and gas export, compression plant and metering, requiring the flexibility and competence to operate as an Area Authority• Adhere to all relevant operating procedures, safe operating practices and company procedures and policies.• Perform first line maintenance, inspections and testing.• Analyse faults, prepare concise defect reports identifying remedial actions to ensure faults are corrected. Report all items that may affect safety and environmental performance, plant availability and reliability to ensure that the Shift Operations Engineer is fully informed & all data inputted into the MMS system.• Ensures a comprehensive handover, both written and verbal, to communicate to the oncoming shift team details of ongoing operations and equipment status in order to safeguard continuity of safety and environmental precautions and plant and equipment availability.• Carry out the safe isolation of plant/equipment and implementation of Non-Routine Operations. • Support the Shift Operations Engineer in management of emergency situations and drills.• Work as the Shift Safety Representative, to highlight & participate in HSE issues & improvement initiatives.

Roosecote Power Station.

• Working In a two man shift team to safely and efficiently operate a CCGT Power station of output 229MW with a focus on HSE compliance and availability.• Interacting with National Grid Gas/Electric as well as Centrica management in respect of energy requirements• Responsible for accurately maintaining station and operating logs for statutory compliance purposes.• A senior authorised person in the work permit system responsible for isolating plant and issuing permitry for mechanical and electrical works (Up to 3.3KV) and Space entry certificates. Accepting and signing of contactors applications to work on site.• Performing routine maintenance, inspections and testing.• Taking a key role in emergency management and site security.• Participating in personal and HS&E performance reviews and agreed personal and team development plans are in place.• Perform a key role in the incident response team• Supporting and participating in HS&E improvement initiatives.
