The opportunity to volunteer in marketing at Radio Western allowed me to acquire skills in interacting with the public that will be useful throughout my career. I had the chance to produce and contribute to several audio advertisements that were broadcast to the London community. My favorite task was creating promotional material for the launch Radio Western's iconic beer, the Transmission IPA. I also regularly broadcast on the airwaves for Radio Western, broadcasting news, promoting the French language through my show "Simon Se Souvient" and participating live in various other programs as needed. This varied experience has honed my skills in event marketing, content creation, and public speaking, preparing me for a future in the media and communication field.

I am lucky to have had the opportunity to gain valuable agency experience. My internship at All Points involved a variety of tasks on behalf of clients in the franchise fast food industry. My key responsibilities included building media lists, supporting marketing campaigns, increasing brand visibility, and helping to communicate clients' unique stories to a broader audience. Being able to help franchise owners uplift their businesses was a great source of pride and I am incredibly privileged to have worked at this wonderful agency.

Being part of a retail store sales team is not an easy task, but it allows you to learn a lot of new skills. I climbed the ranks, moving from cashier to being promoted to the sales floor, certified for handling propane, and also trusted to perform long deliveries in the company vehicle. My job involved assembling machines, helping customers find products or solutions to their home problems, and delivering various high-ticket items. This job required expertise about various home products and involved memorizing the store layout to help find certain products efficiently. Organization of the stockroom which contained hundreds of items was also an essential part of the job. Being with two 50-year veterans of the store, Paul LaRoche and Brenda Warning, helped me learn the necessary skills on how to be a good salesman and ensure customers are always satisfied.

I had the privilege of serving as an Expedition Leader this summer at Camp Tekakwitha, the very camp I cherished as a child—an opportunity that fulfilled a lifelong dream. Throughout the season, I embarked on a 210-mile journey over 30 days, divided across various expeditions, guiding and inspiring young participants to conquer the most challenging stretch of the Appalachian Trail, a feat I myself once accomplished.The summer presented me with numerous high-intensity scenarios, each offering a chance to demonstrate my skills. From weathering a sudden hailstorm atop Maine's tallest peak to improvising shelter alongside a highway during flash floods (later discovering both sides of the highway had been destroyed that night), to coordinating the retrieval of an injured teen in the remote reaches of rural Maine, I honed my capacity to navigate complex situations under pressure.My gratitude for this opportunity knows no bounds, as it provided a wealth of experience in team leadership, adaptability, meticulous organization, and strategic planning. This transformative journey was all the more remarkable as I undertook it in my second language, French.While this experience may not resemble a conventional internship, I firmly believe that the lessons learned and principles instilled during these extraordinary months will far surpass the confines of any traditional professional training. I am confident that the skills and perspectives gained through this adventure will serve as a solid foundation for my personal and professional growth.

Knollwood is one of the most exclusive country clubs in the Chicagoland area. High expectations were set by members and my job was to deliver that to them. Being a server my job was to ensure customer satisfaction was exemplary, communicating with my team to ensure everything was in order, and being ready for any mishaps that came my way. Working in high-stress situations when there was a rush has shown me that communication is key and communication with your team is the best way to work through problems.

I managed the property of the summer camp I had attended as a child. Usually, as soon as a problem arose, our 3-person maintenance team, for a camp of nearly 375 children, would immediately take care of the issue. We also had major projects to clean up various forest areas for the children, replace different elements of the plumbing system, and do whatever the camp director asked us to. Often, I worked without supervision and was expected to find and fix various things around the campsite. Being under contract, I had to be ready to help repair anything and everything at any time. This French-Canadian camp allowed me to excel in my French skills after spending 3 years in the United States where I spoke very little french. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I hope to relive it one day!
