Chair of Investment Oversight Committee

This is a 2nd line of defence role advising the Boards and CEOs of the Traditional and Alternative Asset Management Businesses managed in the UK. This included Fund Boards as well as Company Boards.This involves tailoring and embedding a strong governance structure within the Businesses and successfully creating a healthy Risk Culture that strives for Best Practice in everything they do.As the head of the 2nd line of Defence, I was also responsible to the Board for the independent investment risk (and liquidity) monitoring of the investment floor. This included oversight of our direct investments but also approval (and suitability) of investments into 3rd party funds.

Set up company offering experienced assistance in developing and delivering Portfolio Analytics and Risk Management.

Created a scaleable "institutional" style Performance and Risk Analysis offering into more bespoke Private Wealth Arena.Delivered a stock level Attribution system and General Analysis framework within 6 months for the EMEA region.Also responsible for developing the end-to-end Product Support processes for Alternatives.Managed the International Client Solutions Team for the EMEA regions.

Responsible for Investment Strategy Implementation for £40bn of multi asset funds.Managed a variety of Equity and Fixed Income Index Trackers.Created a highly motivated Performance Measurement/Analysis and Investment Risk Reporting team.Developed new Risk and Performance Systems specifications for Front/Middle Office use.Delivered the initial GIPS Project.

Set up a new Performance Measurement and Analysis team to support the CIO in understanding and appraising the overall performance of the investment floor.In this role, we were responsible for the provision of all Performance and Performance Attribution information for Management Reporting.
