Having started in our claims team before working as an Account Handler and then becoming responsible for my own book of clients, I believe I understand what is important to clients - a quick response to queries when needed, clear advice and value for money on their insurance spend.My current role within Marsh Commercial is to give advice on all aspects of Commercial Insurance including Risk Management.   20 years of Insurance Broking experience that started as a Claims Handler at Martin & Galpin back in July 2001 where I was responsible for claims from initial reporting to final settlement.I moved into an Account Handling role which involved the day-to-day administration of our client’s insurance portfolios including understanding their businesses / risks and presenting these to insurers to negotiate bespoke proposals on their behalf.Martin & Galpin was acquired by Lampier and at this time I progressed into an Account Executive role where I was responsible for building my own book of clients. Again, through acquisition we became part of Jelf Group Plc which allowed me to introduce further services to our clients including areas such as Employee Benefits, Key Person protection, Pensions etc.Jelf was acquired by Marsh, a global leader in insurance broking and risk management, in 2015 and we became known as Marsh Commercial in 2020. Despite the different names above the door, we continue to offer clients in the SME and mid-market sector the highest levels of personal service / advice whilst using our size and strength to negotiate competitive deals from the market on behalf of our clients.My current role is as an Account Director / Account Executive Leader which involves looking after my portfolio of clients and also guiding a team of Account Executives as they progress through their insurance journeys.
