The Research Matters campaign is a collaborative effort among Ontario’s twenty-one publicly assisted universities to highlight the importance of university research. The Campaign included attending public events, managing and contributing to a blog as well as the campaign’s social media. Upon completion of the 2014 summer campaign, Simon took on the role.

Kingston Ontario

Completed an internship in the Electrical Department and was subsequently hired on as a Technologist. Specialized in the production of large-scale automated assemblies in the manufacturing and food/beverage industries. Travelled abroad on several occasions to commission specialized assemblies.

Controlled and maintained theater projection equipment. Set up films based on a set schedule and would troubleshoot problems on the fly. Built an automated fault correction prototype as a part of a college instrumentation project.
