I joined NVM in a temporary contracting position and very quickly came to realise that it would be a very good company to stay with long term. At the end of my initial 4 month contract I was hired as a permanent member of staff and I am now looking forward to developing my career here. I am particularly looking forward to working with Selenium with a view to getting much more of my day to day commitments automated. That will hopefully leave much more time to concentrate on effective exploratory testing sessions. I am also working with the test management tool Testuff, generaly tidying and refactoring the hundreds of legacy test cases. The test team at NVM has grown significantly in the few months that I have been here and the nature of the projects that we work on means I will have the opportunity to get more involved with security testing too.

At Security and Standards I was responsible for the testing of a browser based product aimed at home users that allowed electronic time stamping and sealing of data, particularly transactions carried out online. The product meant that home and business users could conduct business online over secure connections and generate legally recognised evidence of all data traffic that took place.
