With some initial coaching and changes to their ways of working, we experienced a near immediate increase in our productivity, estimation accuracy, and collaboration. These early positive results created a solid base for further agile adoption and helped the team to gain credibility within Genesis. For the following 2 years I was Delivery Coach for 2 teams whose combined focus is on new product development. These teams understood the importance of customer research and developing minimal proof of concepts products to gain customer feedback. We created an environment where experimentation, fail fast learn fast, and early customer feedback loops were at the heart of the teams’ success. For the past year or so, I have been working with business teams using a variety of approaches both agile and traditional project management. We have adopted ways of working and processes suited to the nature of the work the team is doing.
