I have a huge desire for new music and radio always felt like the place for me. Currently working as the music manager for Voice FM is a great opportunity to bring new music to a great audience and has also lead me to interview some of the biggest acts in the world. The combined online fan base of the artists I've interviewed is in excess of 26 million. Starting at Voice I was given the task of create a musical output directed at our target audience, which is 16-35. When I first came on air people where playing music from The Beatles to Take that and even Cher right though to the top 40, there was no definable sound for the station, this was my biggest challenge to date. Now I publish a fresh playlist for the station each week, compiling of the biggest tracks around and some of the best underground unknown superstars of the future. It certainly hasn't been easy and there is still huge work to be done, but this is has some of the most fun I've ever had.I have be known to be supporting artist/tracks weeks sometimes months before the likes of Radio 1 and Capital who are our closet rivals. I am not afraid to take a risk with an unknown artist and support them, instead of just choosing huge acts with a known track record. Our audience loves the diversity and freshness of our playlist.
