Joined MyBuys core engineering team in 2015 as a key member of the Data Engineering team. After the merger of MyBuys and Magnetic in May 2017, I stepped into the hands-on management role of the San Mateo Data Engineering team and helped with the integration of engineering teams and the adoption of agile methodologies. Specifically, I worked with the team to put in place a variety of engineering practices such as continuous integration that enabled the team to transition from monolithic waterfall release to continuous agile delivery.I also worked as a key contributor of the company's next-generation of email campaign solution that employs a fully componentized architecture with micro services and asych backend processing units.

BeVocal became Nuance's On Demand operation after it was acquired, serving Nuance's ever growing enterprise customer base who opted to fulfill their voice application needs through SaaS model. I continued to lead the product component team to build and maintain the components. At the same time, the team started to build the second generation of the report and analytics suite, On Demand Insights, which offered rich BI and analytics through the SaaS model and provided operation and business insights to the customers' applications. It has since been a critical element of Nuance's On Demand offerings.I also led the team through the smooth integration into Nuance's Enterprise Engineering. I managed the team through the changes, keeping them informed and focused, and successfully retained all but one member of the team during the transition. The team also ramped up on and adopted Scrum development methodology.Due to increased responsibility and impact, I was promoted to Director of Software Engineering in 2007.

Upon joining BeVocal, I led a team of voice application developers and we successfully delivered and deployed the IVR applications for BeVocal's key customers under very aggressive schedule. These applications were deployed onto industry strength application servers that allowed maximum degree of scalability and reliability.I then took the challenge of building product component team from its inception and grew the team to more then 20 members at multiple geographical locations, covering all aspects of engineering functions including development, QA, tech pub and release engineering. The team successfully released several product components that greatly enriched BeVocal's components portfolio and contributed to measurable improvement of the productivity via the reuse of the components. All components ran on Resin or JBoss application server with web-based management GUI. Serving voice applications handling millions of calls, key emphasis was given to the scalability and performance of these components.In addition to these components, the team also released several major upgrade of BeVocal's customer portal and built a foundation for the reporting and analytics offerings.

At Chordiant, I managed a few development teams focusing on different product lines, as well as the release engineering team. For the last one and half years, I devoted my time exclusively to work related to the offshore product center in Bangalore, India. I managed a complex staff enablement program that was crucial to the success of getting the center established and productive in a short time. I also recruited and managed two distributed development teams.I also served as program managers or project managers for sereral Chordiant product releases with an excellent track record of proactively managing issues and risks and driving the projects to their on time completion.

I joined OnDemand as a "leader in the locker room". I made strong technical contribution, but most importantly, I exercised my leadership among the developers and helped the management to build a solid Engineering organization.I served as the Development Lead for several components, driving them to completion on time, with high qualify. I also facilitated the co-development effort between the local team and our offshore development arm in Costa Rica and advocated processes and practices to minimize the geographical barrier.

Being the first person on board, I set up the west coast operation in Santa Clara. I managed the west coast Engineering team consisting of Development, QA and Operation with more than 20 people, located in Santa Clara and Vancouver, BC. At the early stage, I contributed in the development of the ThinkMart.com web site and ThinkAgent intelligent matching engine.
