I am a versatile and highly skilled telecommunications and cyber security professional with a career spanning over two decades. I started as a Business Admin apprentice with Net-Defence in 1998 and quickly developed a passion for technology and communications, evolving from a self-taught telecoms engineer to gaining multiple professional certifications and skills within the industry. Over the years, I have navigated my way through various technological changes, from traditional PBX solutions to cloud-platform-hosted telephony. I have experience managing systems with over 300 users and currently lead a team of telecom engineering specialists, working to deliver the very best guidance, advice and solutions to our customers. I have always kept abreast of changes within the telecommunications industry, helping to ensure Net-Defence remain at the forefront of business communications. Professional development is a vital part of my career and something I am extremely invested in and I am currently working to enhance my skills and expertise within the rapidly evolving landscape of cyber security. I have gained certifications from both the NCSC and IASME and I am a qualified Cyber Essentials Assessor, allowing me to support businesses in achieving their Cyber Essentials certification. I have recently gained my ISC2 certification, which has helped me to further enhance my knowledge within the cyber security sector and cement my future working in this industry.At Net-Defence, we pride ourselves on providing bespoke advice without the jargon.
