Simone is passionate about improving access to quality, affordable healthcare. Working in global public health in southeast Asia, she has pursued evidence-based approaches to health sector policy change. In collaboration with diverse stakeholders, she developed recommendations for Laos' health sector reform.Likewise, she has in-depth experience as a clinical research coordinator. She has worked one-on-one to recruit and consent research participants. As a data manager, she also oversaw large datasets for a multi-site research consortium. Returning to southeast Asia on a National Geographic-funded expedition, Simone investigated the links between globalization and community health and development. Currently, she is applying to medical schools and seeking opportunities for the coming year in public health research.
