I am a landscape ecologist with keen interest in interdisciplinary work, integrative methods and multi-stakeholder-collaborations towards social-ecological transformation. I have a background in Biology, Environmental Management and urban planning. My favorite topic is how nature contributes to our wellbeing and how we could contribute to the wellbeing of nature - thus understanding and managing social-ecological systems in a sustainable way. I enjoy numbers, maps, quantitative work (GIS, R) and beautiful knowledge conveying visualizationWhat I like to do: - spatial assessment/analysis methods (GIS), e.g. mapping of ecosystem services- foster interdisciplinarity by means of organization and moderation of group processes, in the research process making use of ressources (data, articles, methods) from diverse disciplines - getting a measure at complex social-ecological systems through e.g. multivariate statistics, spatial statistics, network approaches - participatory approaches engaging with stakeholders, science-practice knowledge co-production- exploring new analytical pathways e.g. using social media data I am involved in:- International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE)- Ecosystem Service Partnership (ESP)
