About Simone Angelo
Engineer and PhD in Operational Research (a methodology that uses mathematical and statistical models and algorithms to support decision-making). Currently, I work in the area of Data Science in the ConeCta-SP project, applying advanced Machine Learning techniques to predict the survival of cancer patients and, thus, optimize the management of health resources.I have experience in data management, predictive and statistical analyses, queue optimization, and hospital process simulation. In previous work, I developed simulation models at National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics to optimize surgical capacity, and I also worked with Time Series and Queueing Theory to determine ICU bed allocation at the State Regulation Center (CER-RJ).With scientific publications, a book chapter, and presentations at national and international conferences/symposia.GitHub - https://github.com/Simonealdrey
