- Climate Change Cluster of the University of Technology, Sydney.- Assisted research into toxin-producing marine microalgae that cause Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) to increase seafood safety, by isolating microalgae from seawater samples for culture- Isolated species-of-interest via manual glass pipetting under inverted light microscope, and also helped maintain microalgae cultures

- Studied stratigraphy and geological history to contribute data to a 3D model of Singapore's geology- Identified marine clay and other stratigraphic units in a database of over 9000 boreholes- Entered and interpreted data from over 1000 boreholes from soil investigation reports. - Extruded sediments from sediment cores using pneumatic press and conducted sediment analysis tests

- Laboratory internship in a microbial lab. - Tested the efficacy of 454 and Illumina primers for genetic analysis of P. aeruginosa and identified strains of 14 gram-negative bacterial samples from a hospital.- Assisted in microbial assays and culture maintenance
