Sitting at the intersection of Facebook’s Partnerships, Operations, Product, and Core Engineering organizations, Partner Engineering is a global team of externally facing software engineers who work closely with Facebook’s strategic partners, as well as engineering and product teams, to define, launch, integrate, and scale platform products. I worked almost exclusively in Media Partnerships, focusing primarily on the News vertical. Here, I got to work with a wide range of strategic partners: from some of the largest and most established publishers in the world to startups and fast-growing digital natives, helping them build upon a number of Facebook platform products. In addition to working with specific partners and cross-functionally with product teams, I also helped support the broader developer community and Facebook’s developer relations through work on APIs, documentation, developer events, and open source SDKs and plugins.

As co-owner, my focus was on business development, management and proposals, but I also maintained a hands-on approach to technology, contributing code to client projects. In addition, I often functioned as product manager, technical lead or software architect, especially when projects involved specification refinements, complex integration scenarios or organizational challenges.

During the first years of Obrigado's existence, I played one of the leading roles, working with the initial business strategy, recruitment of the first developers and execution of projects.
