Community Manager & System Admin For A Workplace By Meta Community Of Professionals (Voluntary)
After receiving a free Workplace licence from Facebook in response to 2 tweets from me during a Twitter Chat in November 2017, I setup and managed a community of 300 professionals from many organisations and none on this enterprise social network (ESN) aka collaboration platform. This community ceased when the free licence was sunset-ed by Facebook in December 2020.Groups that ran in this community included Working Out Loud (WOL) circles, book groups, coaching and mentoring groups of varying sizes including 1:1s.My community consisted of groups with different access controls and objectives. These included “Open”, “Closed” and “Secret” groups as well as groups of groups to meet specific access requirements (e.g. running groups of Working Out Loud (WOL) circles with shared spaces and circle-specific private spaces).Over the period I used Workplace, I evolved, widened and deepened the design and use of this community reactively and proactively. This was from my own experience of running and using the platform as well as learning from various Workplace training webinars.I continue to be an active participant in the #ESNChat on Twitter since first starting in 2017. I have hosted the chat on a few occasions and I curate the chats using Wakelet (https://wakelet.com/@SimonFogg6032).
