I have over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry, with a unique skillset encompassing high level experience across nearly all facets of the IT industry. I initially worked in IT and Network support, before working as a Software/Database developer/programmer and Data Manager along with Systems design, architecture, implementation, plus IT administration, support and management. I have gained an exceptional knowledge of all IT related systems and functions, having worked from basic IT support through to the past 6 years working in high level executive management related IT roles.I have been working in management and leadership roles for the past 6 years firstly as Team Leader of Data and Reporting , before progressing to the IT Manager for the National Diabetes Services Scheme, where I was responsible for the running and operation of IT systems relating to the NDSS, including SaaS, IaaS systems, websites, front end and backend Cloud based software development. This also included stakeholder management with external vendors and internal stakeholders in relation to running, developing and managing the NDSS systems. During this same period, I also worked as the Head of IT with EWN – where I was solely responsible for all EWN IT related systems, vendors and Projects. During this time I was working in both a hands on capacity with development of systems and apps, as well as an advisory position to C-level executives within the organisation up to Board level. I helped to guide the organisation through significant change management of systems, and still assist the current IT team on a contract basis.I am currently working as a Manager of Data Governance and Information where I am responsible for providing advice and guidance on all matters relating to Data and Information Governance, including managing Data Storage, IT Infrastructure and Security, Policy documentation development and updates, and assisting the legal team with regulatory documents such as MOU’s and legal agreements. In this role, I am also responsible for IT vendor management and liaison including licensing, security assessments, and driving the Cyber Security Roadmap within the organisation. I am also the Chair of the Data Strategy Working Group, as provide advice and guidance to all levels of the organisation, including working closely with the Executive team on the provision of advice and guidance on matters relating to Cyber Security, Essential 8 implementation, and Data Strategy.
