In January 1997 I founded Summit Corporate Training Limited, a business skills training company specialising in client-specific staff development programmes and training courses in the core areas of sales, key account management, presentation, customer handling, marketing, negotiation & management skills. I have dealt with a wide range of business-to-business clients, and have a particular leaning towards IT & software, high technology, high value capital goods, banking, manufacturing & complex sales environments. I also undertake management consultancy & training needs analysis assignments, as well as mentoring and personal coaching.Immediately prior to that I held the position of Group Marketing Director for Amtech Europe Limited based in Cambridge, a strategic role that included responsibility for both sales and marketing functions for the Group on an international basis. I have over 35 years sales, marketing & management experience in the Electronic Security Systems & Business Training industries and I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), a Fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM) and was a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Sales (IPS) until that body was absorbed into the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2003. I have lectured, trained and spoken in the past at Southampton University, Bradford University School of Management, Middlesex University Business School, Loughborough University, the Garda Síochána Training College in Eire and numerous seminars & conferences. I was also a guest Home Office lecturer at the Emergency Planning College in Yorkshire for almost 6 years.I have been a Senior Course & Programme Director at the Chartered Institute of Marketing since 1998.
