As Operations coordinator I began the planning in early 2011 and moved to this full time early in 2012. Specific roles I undertook included:• Planning stages, working with multiple stakeholders from the Greater London Authority, The Royal Parks, Tower Hamlets council, TFL, the Metropolitan Police as well as many other agencies. Producing detailed Security and Crowd Management Plans in the lead up to the events • Logistics Management Working with the Logistics team, I oversaw the booking, transport and accommodation for 3000 staff across London over the 18 day period• Building new systems and procedures With sites at Hyde Park, Victoria Park and Trafalgar Square (Paralympics) the need to set clear systems and procedures, ensure the correct training and briefings and then to manage sites remotely was key to the success of this project. Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure that a workforce of over 3000 were recruited, booked and trained to better than industry standards.• Budget Management tasked with creating and managing the event budget planner for the multi-million pound project.There were more than 1.2m visitors through the doors over a period of 18 days, all entering through a 100% search and screening process.
