My role with AUSVEG was diverse. Officially titled as the National Marketing Manager, my role encompassed the establishment and maintenance of more than 25 strategic partnerships with a range of companies across the industry spectrum. More than purely sponsorship, I worked with the partners on content through our various communications channels, face-to-face meetings with their target customers and ensuring a year-round relationship was maintained.Further, with the support of a strong team, I oversaw the entire process for the National Convention, including all contracts and budgeting, program schedules, satellite events, marketing, communications and event logistics. Also undertaken in my time with AUSVEG was significant advocacy work, appearing before two Senate Inquiries into various industry issues, consultation with Government and Opposition MPs and Senators and attendance at numerous political functions and events.In a similar vein, I performed large numbers of media interviews, ranging from radio to print and several live TV interviews on Sky News.I oversaw the establishment of the Export Development Program in its early stages, working with industry and internal management to establish a strategy and program for investment.Included in my general management role was the commercial component of the internal publications, the environmental department, the AUSVEG SA office and staff, and the graphic design department.I organised and participated in several international events and meetings, including in mainland Europe, the UK, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Israel.At other stages from time to time, I acted in the CEO role, sometimes for periods extending to a month.
