My responsibilities include overseeing the general run of the business.I like to get involved in the operational duties along side my managers but as we are growing I find myself relying on our procedures and process' and positions to take care of this and I rely on my staffs knowledge and ability to follow the systems, from enquiries to delivery to stock control to quality control ,to administration to auditing and budgets to project management. I now find myself scrolling through Webinars etc to better enhance and tweak the systems in place along side my normal duties.One of the most important roles I play I believe is that of developing a company culture that suits us as a business and fits our business model. Our company has a mission statement of Sustainable Solutions with a Dig,Cut & Fix motto but more than that we aim to deliver our projects with a focus on safety and systems in which we can be more efficient better utilise our resources and help our clients achieve realistic goals.At present I also find that my main tasks now fall too the completion of a major civil project (in its final phase) liaising with road supervisors and engineers. Guiding site supervisors and balancing time with managers and mentoring those involved at ground level to the office have become a daily part of my role as our business develops its own systems and structures . Liaising with my network in RMS, and many other Tier 1 contacts, securing NCF a future in the fencing arena.Also networking with my suppliers to deliver a quality product in all aspects of fencing .Consultation with key players in various positions both for contractural arrangements and networking, developing NCF company is an important role that I enjoy and one that I am very proud of and very serious about.
