Manager of the Planning Policy, Research and Conservation Department, which includes the Policy Team and Conservation. The Team is responsible for the Local Plan. The Local Plan was adopted in 2018 and is now going through the review process. Planning Officer dealing with many different kinds of Planning Applications, including work to Listed Buildings, Article 1(4) and 1(5) properties, commercial/industrial properties, residential properties, erection of new dwellings, advertisement consent, prior approval. This also involved written representation appeal work.This was a double role and as well as dealing with Planning applications it also involved the development of IT related procedures for the department through identification of projects and managing those projects through implementation and training. This included: identifying efficiency gains that could be made through the use of IT; managing projects to implement changes in IT hardware and software; controlling licences and permissions for the department; providing training on new software and hardware; providing support and development for customer facing IT systems.
