In my role as Software and Development Manager I am responsible for identifying the software requirements within the firm. This leads to developing existing systems, such as Thomson Reuter’s MatterSphere, and identifying the need for new software and the implementation of it. By spending time with departments to understand their processes and functional requirements I can advise how best to tailor the system. I then go through the process of planning, developing, testing, training and deployment. I also analyse data capture and report to management using SQL reports.

Main duty is to support 115 staff in Windows 7, Office 2010 and Thomson Reuters MatterSphere legal matter management software.MatterSphere tasks include creating and updating precedents, taskflow, search lists, extended data, user management and further admin kit duties.Its a varied role including work on our website, intranet, Adobe Forms, Excel reports, telephones system queries, Active Directory and social media.

My first duties in accounts were to help with the day to day running of the department. This included cheques, BACs, spreadsheets, bank requisitions, telegraphic transfers and post. As my experience and knowledge grew I started to help with the monthly management accounts.From 2008 I was responsible for the accounts of a Home Information Pack company. When HIPs were no longer a government requirement the company carried on as a search provider. I looked after the accounts until October 2010.
