Part of the leadership team at Dunedin City Council with responsibility for DCC’s Cultural Facilities, Events and Community Development, and Parks and Recreation.

Providing leadership to the Executive Services Team (Democratic Services, Corporate Strategy and Policy, Communications, Iwi Relations, Legal Services) functions of the New Plymouth District Council. As a member of Executive Leadership Teamwork, work collaboratively to contribute to the wider development of the Council and its agreed priorities.

Lead the Customer and Regulatory Services activity (strategic customer services development, Customer Support, Enforcement, Building and Consents) providing direction and support, so council provides a service to customers that meets service standards, legislative requirements and educates the customer on requirements.

The role was to implement the council’s Customer First strategy, developing and enhancing processes, systems and staff to ensure the delivery of NPDC's customer services exceeds customer expectations.

Managing the production shop of developers.- Design and development of computer-based training modules and online reference tools.- Driving the development of Zeron’s Learning Management System (Mortar)- Information architecture design for presentations and websites.

- Director ‘Lingo’ programming- Concept design- Major projects included GREENER FUTURES – an environmental education CD ROM for secondary schools. This project won the UK eWell-Being Awards 2002 (Resource Efficiency Category); LIFESTYLES AUDIT – a fun CD ROM for children which gathered information about their environmental awareness. This project won the Geographical Association's Silver Certificate Award.

Responsible for the engineering, materials and environment publication lists consisting of 26 journals as well as a substantial back list of books. I had overall responsibility for the financial performance of the lists. Combined list turnover of £1M.
