Supported a comprehensive review and renegotiation of a £multimillion contract with our strategic partners, responsible for financial modelling and strategic support to the Finance Director and the Executive Team. Concluded with a deed of variation agreeable to both parties. Now responsible for managing the partnership from a financial perspective. Initiated and implemented a forecasting and cost review process now used across the entire UK division to accurately forecast costs, with input and buy-in from cost centre owners and senior management.Leads the finance team in a series of meetings with senior management to review and forecast costs across the business.Built a revenue forecasting tool which is capable of predicting revenues (given live data inputs) to within 1% across over 100 distinct customer contracts.Built a cost analysis tool to facilitate understanding of all costs for non-financial managers across the business, in preparation for a zero based budget. Worked with IT developers to understand a complex data stream and create an output to support a catelogue of KPI reporting.

Responsible for financial reporting to our cooperate headquarters in the U.S, and the management accounts for the management team in the UK for our largest UK division, with over £60m turnover.Conducted a reconciliation and review of all terminal assets, deployed and un-deployed, across the entire group, for presentation to the Group CFO in the States.Lead the reporting team in reducing hours spent in the month end cycle by implementing a planning tool used to review interdependencies and lead times, and monitor resource.Supported the IT function in the implementation of an automated billing system which enabled more accurate and timely billing, ultimately at a lower cost.Developed above system to automate accurate revenue accruals in a fraction of the time.Liaised with Commercial Partners in order to find a practical and fair solution to a major contract that lacked clarity and certainty.

A $10+ billion company, Tyco has more than 69,000 employees in 1,000 locations in nearly 50 countries. I worked as a management accountant in the manufacturing division of the UK, which had a turnover of around £27m. Here I was able to apply my new CIMA skills to a manufacturing environment, driving efficiencies and improvements across both the finance function and the division as a whole. In my last few months at Tyco I carved the opportunity join a project team which managed the outsourcing of the P2P and R2R Finance Functions from the UK to IBM in India. I thrived in this role and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. On what was a critical project of great magnitude, I had the opportunity to work alongside fantastic, experienced project managers in both the UK and India. This project also gave me the chance to work in Delhi with some fantastic people with a tremendous work ethic.Once again, the role gave me opportunity of working in a changing environment, and I enjoyed the chance to be involved in the management of that change.

EPPCIC provide free courses to people with long term health conditions. They were funded by a combination of government funding and local healthcare services. I began my studies whilst working at EPP, and progressed quickly from the purchase ledger to an Assistant Accountant role. It was a great place to work and it was there that I learnt the foundations for my career in finance. There was a great deal of change and transition during my time there, and I benefitted hugely from learning in such a fluid environment.
